Hello, I'm Leonie, I study design in cologne but I live in duisburg with my boyfriend. I'm interested in people, their stories and lives. I would like to meet people all around the world to connect and to share whatever we've got.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I meet people, meet locals who maybe want to show me their hometown (or other placey) and because I hate hotels. - You can't sleep outside everytime of the year.
I also like to host people and get to know each other.

Interests

I love to sew and to draw (what I actually study). So I'm also interested in art and design. Generelly in exploring, that means travelling and especially hiking, but also of course meeting people, having a party or just get lost somewhere.
I love gardening and I'm interested in Permaculture and organic farming. I guess I will study this after I finished my design studies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gabriel Garcia Marquez is one of my favourite writers. He hurts his readers with his honesty and caresses thema fterwards with his magic. (I hope my english is well enough to make you understand what I feel :)) John Irvings characters are very real an poignantly and I love Maarten t'Harts humor. I read a lot and I don't have specific genres that I prefer, but I don't read any sort of detective fiction because it makes me too nervous. And I read and write poems.
I listen to a lot of female rappers and hip hop acts, but I'm also into electronic music, psychedelic rock, soul, funk, dub - well, it is mixed.
I can't remember movies very well, but I'm sure I've seen a lot of good ones. The last two I remember were only lovers left alive by Jim Jarmusch and Paradies:Liebe by Ulrich Seidl. Both amazing eventhough they can't be compared.
