About Me
After participating in a university course about portrait photography, drawing and writing the last semester, I have to think about the concept of profil pictures... Especially on such social platforms like CS the first image is quite rigid probably. Which processes are going on in our minds? When I choose the one ought to be this specific photo I use for my presentation? When it’s you who has to decide between clicking to get further information or keep going with the next host-offerings...
An other question: How successful can I describe me, introduce myself to you in a few words? Is the (written) language useful in this regard? And isn‘t it okay or maybe even the benefit that this whole description will be subjective, depending on me...?
However, here you get one of many possible stories „about me“:
People call me Lone and I would like to know about your first word games and jokes coming in your mind. I’m totally fine nudging humans creativity :))
I myself prefer to be creative in terms of cooking, knitting or wax crayon art... while the images suppose to stay in my one 4 walls, I love to share food, cook together with other people or organizing picknicks especially outdoors...
Officially I‘m a student, but I also like my work in a small organic shop/restaurant. Somehow I love to rush here and there, preparing tasty dishes, serving our guests and entertain customers on the other side of the cheese counter.
When I don’t have to study or work, I like to spend time in our vegetable garden of an international Uni-project. Besides, reading, running, modern dance, concerts and theater or forest walks seem to me great chances to let time pass... Even we could may discuss about the outcome of spending as most time as possible in nature, I’m convinced about its value and I could imagine to to it together if you are interested!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Even the question about living an “alternative” lifestyle is maybe quite relatively and subjectively to answere, I see a big value in CS to earn impressions on other peoples methods, thoughts, values etc in this regard. I would like to say that it’s amazing to know a “CS-community” to exist outside there and that there is at least on idea we do share! For sure, everyone taking part as a traveler or a host individually and will have different details of his/ her CS-concept. But the main idea is probably similar: sharing space (for free) to give travel opportunities apart of touristic ways like hostels, holiday flats etc.
Therefore, I’m interested in finding out other ways in terms of clothing, food, work-life-balance, belief, ...(extend this list to whatever seems to be important for you to share). Meeting new people of other social bubbles of different cities will hopefully allow to widen my/ our perspectives again and again!
