I enjoy new experiences like travelling to new places and meeting people. I'm always trying to stay active, playing tennis and running.

I was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and really love the town, but also had the privilege to study in the United States (University of Oregon) and Italy (Universita di Bologna). I like playing tennis and go running, but also enjoy reading.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like discovering new countries and cities, but also really like meeting people who live there. I have shown some friends from abroad around Amsterdam which was always a great experience. I think if you really want to get to know a country of city, you should meet the people who live there and couchsurfing is a great way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I liky many kinds of music. I play the piano myself and very much enjoy playing Bach, Satie, Debussy and Chopin.
As for books, I really like 'The alchemist' by Paulo Coelho, but also love the style of the Dutch writer Maarten 't Hart. I also very much enjoy reading poems. My favorite poets would be WH. Auden, Herman Gorter and J. Slauerhoff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Studying in Eugene, Oregon, for one year.
-Hitckhiking with and amazing friend from Cecina to Pisa to Firenze to Siena and back to Cecina! Great memories:)
