About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding time to read the 150 books on my 'to read' list.
ABOUT ME
Well, I am probably a typical Dutch student that loves her coffee in the morning and her beer in the evening and everything in between (especially cigarettes, though I'm always trying to quit). I love reading, the sound of playing old vinyl records, watching people run to catch their train, the smell and satisfaction of baking cookies, making people uncomfortable by looking them in the eye for too long, dancing on an empty dancefloor, the smell of rain after a warm summer day, singing Ella Fitzgerald songs in the shower, being alone in a unfamiliar city, photographing random things and lots more...
There isn't much I don't love and I'm not going to bore you with it.
PHILOSOPHY
There are no uninteresting things, there are only uninterested people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Proud to say I've hosted more than surfed. I just love meeting new people and showing them the city I grew up in. In september 2014 I will be travelling through Russia, Mongolia, China, and SE-Asia and it would be nice to meet some people on the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a few very amazing people who confirmed that the couchsurfing community is as awsome as I thought it would be. I would love to host some more and I'm really looking forward to meeting future hosts and surfers.
Interests
I find everything interesting except for sports, mathematics and anything involving numbers. But that might be because I'm not very good at those things...

books:
Southern Vampire Series (Sookie Stackhouse novells), Kingkiller Chronicles, everything by Jane Austen, Dickens or the Brönte sisters, His Dark Materials, Inheritance Cycle, The Farseer Trilogy, A Song of Ice and Fire.
Giving me the whole Penguin English Library collection would make me the happiest person alive.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The blister on my leg the size of an egg from a second degree sunburn. If you'd have seen it you would probably remember it as the weirdest thing you ever layed eyes on. TIP: If you're a soulless partly-ginger like me: you can avoid it by using sunscreen!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't really think of myself as an especially 'wise' person but I do think that you can learn alot from others if you allow yourself to.
"Wise men learn by other men's mistakes; fools, by their own." (Plautus)
I could most definitely teach you some Dutch words and if you have trouble with your English I can also help you out with that. I would love to show you Rotterdam and tell you things about the history of the city. And maybe I can teach you to play some songs on my ukulele.
