About Me
A person that finds great difficulty in writing profiles, but I will try.
I have been through the Army (2 years) as part of my country's mandatory service and currently studying Psychology in the UK with aspiration to be a Clinical Psychology in the future.
Just a bit more on myself, I am an extroverted introvert (there is such a thing) who enjoys freedom, space, nature and people, which explains my decision to an overseas education - I find that being confined and restricted to one 'space' stunts my development as a person. This also explains my love for travelling and getaways. :)
Currently, I am enjoying life as a civilian and a student, appreciating all the small things in life, exploring options and opportunities, trying and learning new things, and of course, meeting new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have heard of couchsurfing for a really long time, but was always quite doubtful and never really had the courage to give it a shot.
But as it is in my resolution to explore and try new things, I've decided to give it a shot!
In my opinion, travelling is always more than just ticking boxes off your "places to go" checklist, and definitely more than all the buildings, 'nature' and activities that we are all so hyped up about (don't get me wrong, I do enjoy them). I believe that people are more often the most important factor that determines whether your trip is AWESOME or just "good", well again, not surprising since people are part of the environment we are in!
These "people" can be your close friends that you are travelling with, or people you meet during your travels, which finally explains why I'm here - to hopefully meet interesting and nice people that could spice up my travels, and of course do the same to others when I host! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
This is tricky. I honestly don't have a fixed genre that I prefer for the above categories. It sounds kind of cocky but I think I can appreciate any genre as long as it is nice and appealing (please don't ask me to define "appealing"). I will try to give a few though.
Music: Ed Sheeran, Avril Lavigne, Paramore, Avenged Sevenfold, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jay Chou, Do as Infinity, Joe Hisaishi, Hans Zimmer, John Williams and etc. (Shall just stop here, I listen to a wide variety of genre, you will be surprised haha)
Movies: Fight Club, The Green Mile, Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, Pirates of the Caribbean, Her, Dallas Buyers Club, Harry Potter, LOTR and etc. (I'm a movie junkie :D)
Books: I actually do more casual reading in Chinese than English, especially drawn to Wuxia Novels if you know what are they. Been reading alot of web novels recently too. As for others, ask me when you meet me! :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Off the top of my head would be a spontaneous Bungee Jump off the Macau Tower during my ORD (meaning when I finish my service and revert back to a civilian) trip. Its the first time I've ever attempted bungee jumping and if I recall correctly, Macau Tower is the 2nd highest Bungee Jump spot in the world! Pretty amazing if you ask me.
If not, I vividly remembered hosting a "homeless" couple that I've just met after a late night movie at Penang, Malaysia in 2014 . They are both of different nationality (American and New Zealander) and are on a budget backpacking around Asia, so budget that they ran out of money to find proper accommodation and even had to scrimp on food. My friend and I decided to take them in our hotel since we have space, of course deep down we are pretty scared, but since we are all travelers, we should help each other shouldn't we?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendliness, spontaneity and loads of stories! I am quite a talkative person and enjoys conversations with people (from all walks of life), also, somehow epic things (or at least I think so) happen to me quite often so I have quite alot to tell! It will never (I hope) be awkward :)
If you don't mind my not-so-awesome but not terrible cooking, I can whip up a dish or two!
