Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still in the early stages of couchsurfing, but the experiences that I have had so far have been invaluable! I have met some great people during my last trip, and I really hope to get more involved in hosting when I return to Australia. My I have already met quite a few people on my current trip to china, and had an great experience staying with a Chinese family in the north of Beijing. I hope to have many more such experiences.

Interests

I love the outdoors, I dont think that there is anything better than getting some fresh air and hanging out with friends. Hiking, rock climbing, bungee Jumping, Snowboarding, Skateboarding, surfing, slacklining are all great fun. I love to keep myself active as much as possible, but I also do enjoy relaxing as anyone from time to time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking to the top of Mount Kinabalu, the tallest mountain in south east asia, would have to be one of the most amazing experiences that I have had. After hiking up for one day, and camping, then being told that the weather was too bad to continue we decided to wait it out for a couple of hours. after some time the guide informed us that it was possible to continue, hiking in inapropriate shoes and clothes I was freezing and my feet were destroyed, we pushed through however and with every last piece of energy made our way to the summit. Suddenly the fog that had surrounded us parted and the the most amazing sight I have ever seen lay below. It was well worth the walk.

The second most amazing moment would have to be seeing both the temples of Khmer temples of cambodia and mexico. These are quite awe inspiring and definetly have left an impact on my perspective of the world.

Also cave diving in the Cenotes of Mexico has got to be one of my highlights!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've travelled a lot (maybe not as much as a lot of people on this sight) but I can definitely share some great stories of some experiences. I also can teach you fire twirling, the basics of a few languages, and help you with your English( I am currently also studying a TOEFL course. I have also learned quite a bit of Tai Chi, and Kung Fu so would love to share some of this knowledge!!
