... and except for reading this great book of Douglas Adams again I'm currently travelling through Canada... with a little detour in the northern States. I got to be honest: Walking the border at the Niagara Falls felt awesome! Please, more of that :)

ABOUT ME

Usually I'm located in the heart of Berlin (Germany) and I would not change my home for any other place - so far. But surprise me, show me how fascinating your home towns can be.

I'm still in my Master's programme, studying Sociocultural Studies with a focus on Gender and Migration. But I'm also lucky to be working for the International Film Festival Berlin which makes me spend a lot of time and energy in the landscape of movies. A lot of my leisure time I enjoy the screens of my favourite, small local movie theatres.

So once I'm travelling I want it all: outside, hiking, adventure - basically anything to clear my mind and get to experience nature.

I haven't used CouchSurfing in a while, so my experience is very rar with it. But more to come hopefully!

Interests

I recently discovered my most favourite quote that suits myself: "Just because I can't dance doesn't mean I don't" - which perfectly describes my inspiration of life. If I'd always just do what I'm good at, I probably would have missed out a lot. I love to see what I like by trying it out. And I'm easily fascinated, so keeping me company is quite easy I'd say.

But what I can always offer is a great evening of cooking together. I'm a vegan, so I mostly experiment. I'm a very social person and like to be with people around me. Cooking is mostly an excuse to create something awesome together and share a conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to discover myself in the worlds of books by Walter Moers, Douglas Adams, Haruki Murakami, Khaled Hosseini, T.C. Boyle and other great authors.

My taste in music is very colorful. You can barely find something I don't enjoy when it comes to good music.

Movies... Wow, a long list could follow here, but let me shorten it on five great cinematographic creations that always keep me company and that I could watch in any mood, at any time of the day: Stay, Enemy, Donnie Darko, Toy Story... and of course The Star Wars Saga (okay, that's not just one movie, I cheated, so what).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Certainly a topic that I would like to bring up in a conversation - a glass of dry red wine in the one hand and in the other my sneaky fork to pick up the good food from the dinner that's just been set up.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always thankful for new recipes in the kitchen for dinner or sweets and don't mind sharing my experiences - which aren't very exotic or remarkable but though enough to get through life with a fresh meal on the table every day.
