Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Doing things in and around the water as I explore Toronto. Also, baking as many pies as I can with wild fruits!
ABOUT ME
Originally from Toronto, I find myself living here again after 7 years studying, traveling and sailing elsewhere in Canada and abroad.
I am always up for an adventure, and excited to meet open people in new places. Fitted with a new bicycle, this summer I hope to cover some ground and explore new places in Ontario, New York, Vermont and Quebec.
I work for a non-profit organization that does stream and wetland restoration in Ontario. Most of my time is spent outside wading in streams and treking through wetlands. I love my job.
I am passionate about cooking (learned some tasty recipes from working teaching English and sailing in Thailand) and there's no better dessert than a pie. Apple cinnamon, pumpkin, strawberry rhubarb...I do 'em all.
PHILOSOPHY
Everyone has something interesting to share and teach.
I've traveled the West Coast of North America in a sail boat, enjoy cycling in hard to reach places, and will rock climb challenging mountains when given the chance!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After some great experiences using couchsurfing in Europe, I would love to pay it forward. This summer I am living on a sailboat in Toronto and have limited places to host, although I may be able to take you sailing!
Interests
Hiking, canoeing, back country skiing and camping, rockclimbing, swimming in lakes, going fast in sailboats, learning new instruments (currently the mandolin), stumbling through new languages, and cooking. I make some mean pies!
