About Me

Large guy with an even bigger heart. I'm super social and out-going with a knack for making people laugh. I love my friends and family and rely on them day to day. I like to be active whether it be camping, hiking, playing sports ect.

I'm from the great state of Alaska, but spent a majority of my time in Oregon going to school at Oregon State University (GO BEAVS) where I graduated with a B.S. in 2015. This has given me an interesting pro-oil, pro-environmento/sustainability/conservation, blue-collar, green, mountain-loving, hot-hating, rain-tolerating perspective on life that most people seem to enjoy haha I try and travel as much as possible and with the friends I seem to stick myself with, that's just their style! So I use my love of driving and our drive for adventure and get out somewhere pretty much every weekend if I can. I've driven all over the United States and driven through Canada to Alaska 7 times now!

I don't hope to settle down anytime soon, but if and when that happens, I'll probably end up back in Alaska. I've always said, "It's a great place to be raised, and a great place to retire" The in-between phase (which I find myself in now) is the hardest for an Alaskan because of the little opportunity, distance from the rest of America, and the small-town 'everybody knows everybody' feel. Which I loved when I was a kid, but it seems to get more dramatic as one gets older. For right now I'm lookin for a good time and, damnit, I'm gonna have one!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I seem to have done a complete opposite of what most people do. I found out about CS from a friend who had just used it to travel around the globe and I found myself wanting to participate, but having nowhere to go! So.. I started hosting, and I greatly enjoy that side of it, but from what I understand, no-one really starts out hosting. I've since used it while driving the long road back to Alaska, for organizing dinners, and even an impromptu snow-ball fight!

More recently I'm hoping to use it while I travel cross-country to experience new areas with other cool people!

Interests

Driving, Motorcycling, BEING ACTIVE, sports, hiking, camping, long-boarding, ect Anything that will keep my large frame existing longer then it rightfully should haha
I've recently gotten involved with CrossFit and am having a blast with it. I'm level 1 trainer certified but don't plan on using that as a career.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a sucker for all the classic movies. I'll take anything as far as music as long as I like it. I can dig on just about any genre that has a good beat. Regrettably, I don't read as much as I'd like but I enjoy the occasional book someone suggests to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the aurora-borealis in September!

I've driven a motorcycle across country!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe I have a lot to offer and a lot to learn. I realize I'll never stop learning, but I also have as strong story to tell. I hope to teach but a fraction of what I can learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Always a great time and a big smile.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
