About Me
Hi! My name is Saraí.
I'm originally from Monterrey, Mexico and now living in the beautiful city of Freiburg, Germany since 2011. I am open minded and love meeting new people and getting to know a bit about their life. I think you can learn something (whether life-changing or a simple thing) from EVERY single person. I love laughing. I like hanging out with people who can take things easy and are not ashamed to make a fool of themselves. I've found it easier to find such people in Mexico, but am lucky to have found some here too. :)
I would say i'm generally patient, a bit creative, talkative when I feel comfortable. Im generally in a good mood and positive. I like motivating others when they are having a hard time. I believe that in every bad situation there is something good, and viceversa. But I make my best to find the good side in either case.
My mother tongue is spanish, but I can speak fluent english and german. I am currently learning French. I learned some chinese back in 2007. So I forgot most of it now, but still remember the basics. Throughout trips and friendships I've learned bits of funny phrases or words in languages like polish, corean, russian, swahili, italian, portuguese, thai and indonesian and I love learning new ones whenever possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Beore joining CS, I had some positive experiences being hosted by a Corean family and afterwards hosting Corean girls in my hometown. Afterwards, I came to Germany for an exchange year in 2009. That's when I started to travel more and found out about CS. I thought it was a great idea to meet people and get to see new cities together with "insiders". So far I've enjoyed my trips most when traveling with local friends.
