CURRENT MISSION
travel from Alberta to Texas, hearing and telling stories
ABOUT ME
I'm becoming myself everyday! How exciting! I'm in a constant unlearning process, shedding the fears and insecurities we're all taught growing up, trying to find my wild self. I'm a troubadour, a radical organizer, a board game enthusiast. I'm excited by urban skylines, the ocean, rolling hills, oak trees, highways, adventure. I'm also an aspiring urban farmer. I'm very laid back and excited to meet new challenges, new people, new horizons, you know. Everything.
PHILOSOPHY
The world would be a hell of a lot better if people would just be nice to each other. Also, true teleportation is not possible because of the nature of human identity. Thinking is fun, experiencing is fun too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been happy to host travelers, through cs and otherwise, and have been so grateful to those who have hosted me. CS is how I think the world should look - we share what we have, give what we can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted several people and had incredible experiences doing so. I also spent three months traveling across the United States and stayed with couchsurfers everywhere I went. I have met nothing but amazing people, some whom I may never see again, others who will be lifelong friends. I am grateful to them, and I can't wait to host others to pay that goodwill back.
Interests
I'm interested in most everything. I spend most of my time trying to think about environmental justice. I also want to explore philosophy, science, literature, math, writing, and history, among other things. I would like to learn how to build things also, particularly boats, and do art.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read, and have been on a bit of a non-fiction kick. I would highly recommend "The Conundrum", a book that explains why "green technologies" are not an appropriate solution to climate change, "the beekeepers lament", which explains the role of bees in our food system and the threats the are facing. I also love the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and the kind of literature they made you read in high school. I love music, listening and making it. My favorites at the moment are Cloud Cult, Kishi Bashi, Janelle Monae, and Of Montreal. I am also watching Star Trek, the Next Generation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Biked across Oregon and then traveled across the rest of the US hitchhiking. Occupied land that belonged to the University of California and turned it into a productive farm :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn more about ecology, particularly urban agriculture and foraging. I can teach you some cool trivia about bees and insects, how to play the violin, and some very basic French vocabulary hah. I am also fairly up to date with current events and love political discussions.
