Overview
About Me
My life is full of contrasts and contradictions!
- I am an "extroverted introvert" who enjoys public speaking and connecting with people (then retreating into my cave of solitude!)
- I majored in English because I love words and poetry. But I've spent the majority of my career working at high-tech companies.
- I was raised in an ultraconservative religious environment that had a very narrow view of the world, particularly around faith, gender and sexuality. I left that behind and chose a much more open and accepting approach to life. Whew!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just joined Couchsurfing (in January 2026) because I think it will be a great way to meet people while traveling, particularly on longer adventures. I also like the idea of traveling more economically and helping other people do the same.
As a new member, I don't have any reviews on this platform. However, I have reviews on other platforms and can share those if desired.

Teach, Learn, Share
I make different kinds of bread and have taught others this skill. I'd love to learn how to grill meat!
One of my goals for 2026 is to learn how to dance.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be happy to share my skills in the kitchen and around the house. I love yardwork and gardening and would be happy to help out with those. I'm also a decent handy person and would gladly lend a hand on projects.
