About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Continuing my life of constant travel, but exploring locally...
ABOUT ME
I'm coming off a stint of solo traveling and getting my MBA in Accounting. Although I won't be going abroad any time soon, I can't wait to return the favor of hosting travelers!
PHILOSOPHY
"He must become more and I must become less." We live in an ego-centric society that constantly bombards us with propaganda to convince us of our own importance. As dark as that sounds, it's part of the reason I love to travel. Meeting so many people and sharing with them reminds me of my own insignificance-- that even though person-to-person interactions can be so important and meaningful, it's not all about me.
I am a Christian, and I live my life for God, but I do not believe in forcing my beliefs on others. I love exchanging cultures with people (and also a good, friendly debate!), but I try to stay open-minded (again, it's not all about me). I prefer to live my faith rather than preach it, though I am totally open to questions!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling isn't nearly as fulfilling if you just go around and see places. Meeting new people is what makes traveling special!
Interests
I like to spend time outdoors (beach volleyball anyone?), eating anything I can get my hands on, reading things that challenge my opinions and philosophies, and getting to know other people's culture. I like to learn new things (especially languages and games) and try new food (especially desserts)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 7 months solo traveling around Europe during my gap year from 2014-2015. It was my first extended trip and the first time I traveled alone. It was a huge step for me, and sometimes I still can't believe I did it. One of the best decisions I ever made! :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak English and Spanish- I can offer practice speaking those languages as well exchanging travel experiences. I also love talking about books, healthy eating, travel experiences, movies, and the world in general. :) I am also a vegetarian, so I can cook a meal or two if you're interested in learning about vegetarianism.
