PHILOSOPHY
Hmm... I don't know if I have could articulate a personal philosophy currently. I am really transitional right now, mostly in a seeking phase... Not that I think that's really very different from any other time in my life. ;-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm not sure what they mean here... is it how I participate in life, or in couch-surfing?
In life: I am mostly a talker. My life is essentially lived for the brilliant conversations I get to have with the brilliant people I know and meet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only had one host on the site so far, but I've been couch-surfing in the Lindy and Blues dance communities for almost 8 years. I have hosted and stayed with probably hundreds of people by this point, and I'm sure I have just as many stories.
My favorite so far is probably when I was living in a house with a really great basement bonus-room, and I hosted somewhere around 15 dancers for a weekend event. I came home at one point to find my family room filled with amazing people having a discussion about life over pizza, with I think Princess Bride playing in the background. It was really beautiful.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost all movies except horror, which I just can't handle. My most watched are: How to Train Your Dragon, Firefly/Serenity, and Scott Pilgrim.
For music, I like things in the sort of electro-classical range, like Bond and Lindsey Sterling (although she's a little over-played right now), and I dig Pretty Lights and Glitch Mob. I like things with a solid, dancable beat.
With books, it's all over the map. My favorite fiction writer is Terry Pratchett. I read tons of non-fiction though, too, mostly about what makes human brains tick the way they do.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow. I'm trying to recall all the times I've said, "That is/was amazing!" in my life, and although I know I say it a lot, nothing is leaping to mind... I guess Burning Man is one of the most amazing things I do consistently. I see amazing things going on there on a daily, if not hourly basis.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think, if I really wanted to, I could teach just about anything, if I am really interested in it. Mostly I teach dance and conversation.
I'd like to learn how to be more at peace. I'm doing a lot of work around anger management right now, and I'm looking hard at the fear behind my anger, and how to live in abundance instead of scarcity.
