Hi! I just graduated from University of Alaska Fairbanks with a degree in biology & a minor in fine art. I was planning to attend medical school, but changed my mind recently- but I don't know to what yet! So I've decided to do some traveling, starting with Thailand and Cambodia, then possibly on to Australia. I've traveled fairly extensively throughout the US, as well as to Canada and Mexico. I'm so excited to see the other side of the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wasn't planning on taking this trip when I was working this past summer, otherwise I would have worked and saved more! Other than financial reasons, I also think that staying with locals will give me an experience beyond that of your average SE Asia hostel-hopping backpacker (although I do plan on doing that as well). I want to connect with the locals, and learn from them. I also have some pretty wild stories of Alaska to share!

Movies: not a big movie watcher, but fav tv shows are Criminal Minds, Scream Queens, PLL, NCIS, and iZombie
Books: pretty much anything fantasy, paranormal, or dystopia

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flown a plane! I took flight lessons a few years ago. My dad had his pilots license and flew us all around Alaska when I was younger. It got to expensive for me to keep taking lessons, but I still plan to get my license someday.
