ABOUT ME

I grew up in a rural town in Ohio and have just in the last few years developed an unsatisfiable itch for travel and sightseeing of all kinds -- expensive and luxurious... dirty and roughing it... just driving the highway for hours upon hours...

In late 2010 I took a job as a personal assistant, which allowed me to move to Kauai indefinitely. When I'm not working, I find myself hiking, swimming under waterfalls, photographing (still learning the ins and outs of SLR), and wandering around the quaint, touristy towns throughout the island. Throw in hours of writing on a deserted beach and Sigur Rós blaring in my ear buds, and you've got my ideal day. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've joined CS in preparation for the next season of my life, which will occur whenever I decide I've had my fill of living on a remote island with no big city and no Steak and Shake. In the next season, I plan to road trip the U.S. (more often solo than not) and would love to use CS as a resource to connect with people. Send me a message if you have any "must-see" suggestions or if you'd like to join me for any part of my U.S. exploration. I'd love to do some bungee-jumping, skydiving, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, etc. as well, so bonus points if you can hook me up with any sort of thrill-seeking activity. :)
