About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The mission to make the world not only smaller, but closer, has been my company and personal mission since 1996.

ABOUT ME

My electrons all keep a beat. I love music theatre and dance.
Was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, and I graduated from High School In Puerto Rico, so I really learned to appreciate the ability to experience a location, culture, and indigenous homo sapiens without the barrier of being a tourist. Sometimes being just a tourist gives little more of an experience than watching a travel film. That is because most things you see as a tourist, especially on a large tour are staged, which at times precludes one from even getting a nuance of the culture you are ostensibly visiting.

I am Introspective and love a good political discussion, or singing. I prefer discussions with those that are opposite my position so that I can learn from conservative views what we are really up against to make the world more equitable and just for all its inhabitants and promote a healthy environment: all in good natured reparte of course.

PHILOSOPHY

You always find in life what you're looking for. Travel looking for great friends, great adventures, and memories that will have you smiling as you exit to the big couch. Always look across to others never up or down, and undeerstand that the river we call life is the one we can drown in or have a party excursion upon, based upon the only God given tool we have: attitudinal choice.

Music, Movies, and Books

The movie "Enemy Mine," is probably the best couch surfing primer one could see and is one of my all time favorite movies. Couldn't help but love "O Brother Where Art Thou" and "Johnny Dangerously" on an even lighter side. My favorite books are "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," and "The Davenci Code".

Jazz is my favorite. Most liked album is "Swiss Movement" by Eddie Harris and Les McCann. But my tastes are eclectic, from classical to Country, Rock and jazz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kennedy Space Center Apollo Center had to be the most incredible place I've visited. The fireworks at Epcot Center had to be one of the most spactacular spectacles I've witnessed. But thoe most awesome thing I have personally done that floated my boat was - LET ME SET THIS UP. In 6th grade my favorite song was "Soldger Boy" by the Shrelles, only because of that one measure solo on the tenor sax. You Know the one Da - Daa -daa- da- dot, I loved that. Well about 10 years ago I was on a stage it Harras in Lake Tahoe with the Sherells (Much older but still looking good) and when that song came around the sax was in my hand and a childhood dream was fulfilled.
