PHILOSOPHY

Oops, I don't think my English is good enough for philosophical tractate. :)
I'm not christian, but I don't have anything against them. I find "neo-pagan" beliefs of some of my friends interesting, but I am not attracted to it... I think that natural, pantheistic philosophies fits me quite well - I'd like to write that I am a Daoist, but I know that I do not know anything about it...
I definitely believe that "there is something." ;)
I'll have to think about it for some time to write something that makes sense here...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really don't know, i'm just too new here. I'll see and try to do my best...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For almost ten years I'm hosting my friends and their friends and friends of their friends, for a weekend or for few months, as is needed... I only didn't know it is called couchsurfing. :)

Intereses

I study cultural anthropology (mainly in the study of religion, mythology and magic - of the role of "supernatural" in human lives). I am trying to learn Japanese and learn about shinto, folk religon and new religions in Japan.
I'm interested in history (of Europe and Asia), archeology and many other sciences and only regret that my time in this life is limited and I cannot study them all as well as I'd wished.
I've been to sea for several times and I do love sailing - I'll surely find time and money for some long ocean trip under sail! But I'm only beginner with experience of some two thousand miles in coastal waters and no skipper license.
I don't like the idea of harming people, but at the same time I am attracted to martial arts. I find it strange, but I am. I tried Chen Taiji for health, but I am also interested in european (historical) martial arts - they might be useless in real life, but they are just romantic... I am practicing historical swordplay, as it is being reconstructed by my friends and teachers. I like the idea of "an european wushu" - of practicing good martial art of my ancestors...
I like nature, traveling in it, observing it, living in it...

Música, películas y libros

I like books and intelligent movies that are dealing with mythological themes and historical stories, be it fact, historical fiction, science fiction or fantasy.
I like poetry, particullary chinese and japanese, but I don't think I am an educated reader.
I like almost any music, song and dance that is performed by heart, that has something to say, not depending on genre...

I've seen this world, is it not amazing enough? ;) I don't think I've done anything really super amazing.

I like to talk about European military history and martial arts, but I don't think Im goot enough to be a teacher yet.
