Overview
About Me
I've been a Head Chef in South Korea and I work as a Assistant Kitchen Manager in a restaurant here in Minnesota..I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota (US).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was traveling abroad I noticed the unity between other travelers.. We shared what we could - a place to sleep, food, water, money at times, and most importantly knowledge!
I wanna create a safe, comfortable environment for other travelers. Because I know how it is to be traveling in the same clothes for days, jumping from plane to plane not quite knowing if you really want to spend money (or if you even have the money!) on a hotel/motel/hostel.
I also hope to be out there traveling again soon and this seems like good karma.
Interests
I'm interested in cooking. I love to cook even outside of work. I'm that odd person who works 10-13 hours and still goes home and does the same thing.
I enjoy music as well, but it's hard to really pick one genre.. That doesn't mean I'm uneducated about music, I just have appreciation for many different types. I used to play in bands for over 13 years but haven't picked it back up since getting back from Asia.
I also like to be very active if possible - hiking, rock climbing, out door running, bicycling, and I'm a green belt in Muay Thai.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helped save a woman's life in South Korea and in the same night I saved a feral kitten from a truck engine. Guess I get really selfless when I've had a couple beers.. This is all true! It's a really long story though.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Toilet, shower, floor/air mattress to sleep on, couch of course, fridge/freezer space, oven/stovetop, kitchen equipment to cook, maybe transportation (if my schedule allows it), possibly able to show you around town (if my schedule allows it), kitty cuddles (if the cat's schedule allows it) lol :P
