Overview
About Me
I'm a very calm, easy-going and friendly person. I can easily adapt to different places and situations, and I usually have a big smile on my face!
I have friends from all around the world. When I was 17, I left my cozy wooden house in the Brazilian countryside to study in an international school on the west coast of beautiful (and cold!) Norway (Red Cross Nordic United World College - shoutout to any UWCers out there!). I met people from more than a hundred different countries, and I had the time of my life while learning a lot about the amazing cultures in the world!
I'm currently an undergraduate student majoring in Economics at the University of Florida. I plan on traveling around the world next year! Wish me luck! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always been interested in couchsurfing traveling in general, but only now I feel that I'm old (and mature) enough to start this experience. This is why I'm new to this website, so forgive me for any beginner mistakes!
I think that if you are curious about the world, and you want to see it, traveling and staying in hotels is a great thing. But if you want to FEEL it, and truly experience it, engaging with locals is the way to go. When I lived in Norway, I had a host family. It was the first time I stayed in the house of strangers that opened up their lives for me. Now I can say that seeing the Norwegian fjords, hiking in Norway's beautiful mountains, walking around Oslo - these were all great experiences. But I truly felt and absorbed the Norwegian culture by talking and sharing moments with this local Norwegian family.
Interests
I love music! I've been playing the guitar, singing and writing my own songs since I was 10 years old. I love going to concerts and talking about music, especially to people who have different musical tastes from mine, since I love being introduced to new music.
My hobbies also include writing, staring at the stars, trying to cook (and failing most of the time...), watching TV shows and talking about philosophy.
I absolutely love dogs and animals in general. I'm just a bit scared of cats (funny childhood story...), but I can live with them.
I also love children! I've been a babysitter for Brazilian, Italian, Norwegian and German kids, and some of them didn't speak English at all! It was definitely a challenge, but I had a lot of fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical taste is very broad! I love indie rock, classic rock, pop, Brazilian popular music (MPB)... I listen to a little bit of everything, really. I have long Spotify playlists with music from all around the world that my friends have introduced me to.
The TV shows I'm currently watching are Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've sang a song (in Spanish!) to the Queen of Norway.
