About Me
“Griaß enk”, from Austria! (“that means “Greetings” :P)
I am Letizia, a 20 year old student. I am studying in Innsbruck, a rather small town in the in the west of Austria. The city is surrounded by mountains, which gives us the possibility to spend our free time in nature, hiking, cycling or just enjoying the cool and fresh air.
I am an outgoing person, always eager for meeting new interesting people and discovering new cultures and traditions. I love speaking new languages and I am not afraid of making mistakes while doing so – so be ready for my cracky French and Spanish! :P
I love going out to dance and sing and have a good time, but I am also totally happy staying home and just talk about books, the world, climatechange, Europe or just nice food and the comfort of thick toilet paper :P
When I am new in a town, I love going to art galleries and museums. I also enjoy viewing graffitis and street-art in general. Also it would be an honor to see art pieces of you, if you are practicing any kind of art. 😊 From time to time I paint a little bit, mostly with watercolors and/or ink.
Cold and rainy days I spend drinking hot tea, reading, watching movies, gameing (Skyrim!! <3), or playing cards with my friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What brought me to couchsurfing was my urge to dive into the real life of a city. As a tourist, staying in a hotel you get a completely different view of a city, than if you actually live with locals. I can observe this phenomenon in my own city: most of the places the tourists are storming at, I have been to one time the most!
I made wonderful experiences with “workaway”. (you stay at a place and work for 5 hours a day and in exchange you get food and accommodation). I learned so much from my hosts and found friends for life. However, to be really helpful, you have to stay at least a month or longer, otherwise you are more in everybodys way and more an obstacle than a helper. Now, that I started studying, I don’t have enough time to stay that long at one place.
So I decided to give Couchsurfing a try
