CURRENT MISSION:
To open myself to new experiences. To have conversations with interesting people that last well into the night and make you tired the next morning. To better my own spiritual understanding of the universe.

ABOUT ME:
I'm currently a first year medical student, passionate about providing care to the world's most vulnerable populations. To me, health is the world's equalizer, and my goal is to provide sustainable health care to any patient I come across.

Right now, I use my MBA in Healthcare Administration and EMT training to work for Caritas Jordan as a Medical Assistant in the East Amman clinic. I also work on projects pertaining to healthcare in Jordan with AVSI.

PHILOSOPHY:
"There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground"

I believe in worship through action. That there are an infinite number of paths to your own truth. That by searching inward and attempting to understand your own motivations, you can better the lives of people around you.

I'm a muslim, and believe in the reflection, questioning, and search for knowledge Islam inspires. I am attempting to understand what Islam means to me. Nothing is as it seems, and divinity appears in more ways than I could ever imagine.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to explore, and meet new people whenever I can. I take part in Couchsurfing meetings, and am always eager to host wayward travelers. I am currently here on an research grant and I would love to use this opportunity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE:
I've used this site mostly as a way to meet people, to have good food and even better conversation!

Photography, and taking candid shots of every day life. I love to sing, especially with others.
Good discussions on religion and philosophy
Medicine, and the emotional art behind healing.

I will read almost anything handed to me, but the two books that speak to me most are "The Essential Rumi", translated by Coleman Barks, "I hear God Laughing: - Hafiz, translated by Daniel Ladinsky and all poetry by Mahmoud Darwish, Generally, Arab poetry is a special love of mine!

My favorite movie, which I return to often when I'm feeling nostalgic, is The Princess Bride!

I will listen to all music with lyrics that speak to me! I am a happy person, but an emotional glutton who loves lyrics with emotion.
