About Me

I was found as a baby in a picnic basket on the doorstep of an Indiana farm, surrounded on all sides by miles of corn. I ran away at age six and was raised until adolescence by wolves. I reintegrated into American society in my teen years, which were spent terrorizing suburbia and getting run off by the fathers of my female classmates. After stints in Chicago, NYC, Brazil, and Portland, inevitably, I washed up down here.

***Sorry, folks, I am eternally booked for Mardi Gras and Jazzfest***

I live in a 126 year-old shotgun house in uptown New Orleans. Its four main rooms are separated by partial walls, but essentially the floor plan is open. My neighborhood is a stone's throw from the Mississippi River and one of the safest in the city. My block is host to a cast of characters worthy of literature, many of whom you'll meet. I am also the adopted part-time father of a football-sized terrier-chihuahua mix named Lil Kim. I do not have roommates, though after regular business hours, my friends are around all the time, as I have front AND back porches conducive to kickin' it.

I can host up to three people. 3-4 nights is ideal. I have queen and full-sized sleeper sofas as well as cushions which make them surprisingly comfortable. I have a washer and dryer, towels, blankets, pillows, even an ionic hair dryer--u kno, 4 the ladiez. I work from home except Sundays, when I secondline. This requires some measure of quiet and focus, so I customarily point guests towards all kinds of independent of New Orleans fun during the day.

Don't be deterred by my low response %; I see everything that comes through. However, on top of getting at least two requests a day, I rent the joint out on AirBnB and travel while doing so, so I don't have the time and/or gumption to respond unless in the affirmative. Nevertheless, studies have shown that the probability of request acceptance increases dramatically if a reference is made toward showing up with a six-pack, and even more so if bar tabs are mentioned. Also, if there are many of you, please include links to everyone's profiles, whether CS, Facebook or otherwise!
