About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Follow my heart - and keep up!

ABOUT ME

Independent, caring, adventurous, life-loving.

PHILOSOPHY

We're all in this together. My views are absolutely right for me, at this moment, as yours are for you. The magic lies in meeting in harmony while presenting your true self, then learning and growing from the encounter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've recently started a traveling phase in my life. I'm looking forward to getting to know local folks in all parts of the world.

Interests

I love new experiences - from learning a new skill to finding a special place in nature. I love nature of all kinds, and like exploring what is natural and best about people and cities. Foodie, motorcyclist, sometimes bicyclist, music lover, art lover, animal lover.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - original, inspired music. Favorites are jazz and blues, especially live. I like music that surprises me, but not into way loud or harsh anymore - I'm too old! :) I love to sing and am prone to break into song at any moment.
Movies - Mystery, sci-fi and fantasy, documentaries, some thrillers as long as they're not over-the-top action or horror.
Books - yes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent last summer in a 12x12 cabin in the woods in the NE Alabama mountains. I moved there from a downtown city neighborhood, and learned to fully appreciate what the trees, wind, rocks and critters have to offer us if we take the time to listen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a moderate amount about a lot of things.
Pretty techy, decent shade tree mechanic, know how to motivate/manage a team in both business and non-profit worlds. Good conflict resolution skills - though this is rather stressful and I'm careful how I use it. Good camper and outdoorsy-woodsy person. Good cook too.
I learn where ever my heart leads me, because my heart desires to learn.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico, United States
