About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and explore the world to collect personal stories.

ABOUT ME

I love to meet people from all walks of life, learn about their stories and cultures, and to promote racial harmony and tolerance. I believe peace comes from increasing our understanding for each other. I have traveled to Australia, China, Hong Kong, Tai Wan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Turkey, Ghana, Russia, UK, Argnetina and Uruguay. I love backpacking and learning more about life and opening up my world through traveling!

PHILOSOPHY

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't, then change your attitude"ã

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoyed couchsurfing in Sri Lanka very much, and was very impressed at how friendly and like-minded we all were in this great place we call humanity! I loved meeting the local people and learning more about the local culture - and I hope to do the same in other countries too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed in Sri Lanka and Russia, and looking forward to many more couchsurfing experiences. Currently planning my trip to Chile and Bolivia!

Interests

Travelling, asking questions, rock climbing, jogging. I love international politics, sociology, and I aspire to be a peace-maker and advocate for global justice.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many!

I love to read, all sorts of literature, especially foreign literature.

In terms of movies, Notebook, Kite Runner, My sister's keeper, I am Sam, - "PS. I love you" have by far been the movie that has made me cried the most!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Ghana for the first time in my life, getting marriage proposals and "I love you" (though not so serious, thank goodness!) from many many strangers when walking on the street. Very surprised at how open and embracing and friendly their culture is!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Ghana, Indonesia, Paraguay, Russian Federation, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
