Generally, I like travelling and meeting new people and cultures. I used to ask for how people cooked a dish, and then replicate it later :) Me and my family (in Latvia) hosted people from France, Italy, Netherlands and even Singapore.
Lately, I'm heavily into finishing my thesis, so I travel light, and mostly sleep and study.
I can't live without a phone + computer, staying in touch with my friends, whiteboard conversations and numerous blocknotes, teas and sport games.
Life motto? I try not to get stuck in a single story thinking.

Books: The Dune (Herbert), most of Strugackie brothers' books, "The power of quiet" (Susan Cain), Joel Spolsky's "Smart and getting things done", "Gang of 4"'s "Design patterns", Seth Godin's "The Dip", Jared Diamond's "Guns, Germs and Steel".

Music: Windmill (russian folk rock group), Genesis, Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco (still have trouble discerning them), Lorde, Brainstorm.

Movies: most of Bill Murray, soviet comedies with Shurik, Fight Club and Sucker Punch... I should get an IMDB account - I forget things I've watched :)

Teach: I can teach you to cook random dishes and how to play a guitar, and help out with languages as far as I can :) I also take people's wishes and ambitions seriously, and like to think about them.
Learn: A dish, cocktail, some new words or anything about your profession. I love listening about what makes people tick!
Share: I enjoy discussing ideas, circumstances and how the world works.
