ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm a fun, friendly, funny Australian girl who loves meeting new people and exchanging ideas and culture. I have been fortunate to be hosted by people when I have travelled overseas for conferences, and I love doing the same when we have room in our house!

I'm a visual artist and I teach at a university in Brisbane. I'm newly married to a wonderful man Sky (who teaches high school maths and speaks fluent French). We have a loveable fluffy ginger cat called Manky.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live the best life I can, and give back to the community as much as I can. I think that we can break down cultural and social barriers if we just accept and understand other people.

I have a pay it forward attitude with life. I don't think that I am "owed" anything in life - but I feel that I have a responsibility to give back to the world.

So far I have only hosted people - I have met the most wonderful people and my life has been richer for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While on honeymoon, meeting a local on Lifou Island, New Caledonia who lent us her rusty old bicycles for the day - we took in the sights, stopped to look at tiny shells and leaves on trees. It was bliss!

Walking over a live volcano - White Island, New Zealand. You could feel the heat rising from the ground. A magical experience.

I can teach you about animals of Australia and visual arts. I love cooking and trying new foods!
