About Me
Last year I decided I wanted to do something big before I started my 3rd year of college. So I started traveling.
In the fall I chose to live in Granada, Spain to work on my Spanish. After returning home in the winter, I knew I wasn't done traveling. So in the spring, I bought a one way plane ticket to London and spent 2 months wandering through Europe. I didn't have any concrete plans other than my plane ticket, which I fully believe is the best way to travel. I didn't want to limit myself so I just ventured city to city and went wherever the wind took me. I didn't have much money so I hitchhiked and couchsurfed a lot on that trip, which made me really want to be a host as soon as I was able. Now I'm studying at Virginia Commonwealth University, and I have my own apartment, so I can.
I'm a musician. I see music as a language..the most powerful and universal language there is! It's such a beautiful way to connect with others on a much deeper level than words can accomplish. One of my favorite ways to get to know a person is by playing music with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of couchsurfing. The conversations and the lessons, the stories and food, the new relationships. It's amazing. I spent 2 months couchsurfing in Europe earlier this year...now i'm going to university and i want to give back to the community by hosting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This may not seem amazing from the outside, but one of the best experiences of my life was a night that I sat down and talked with a homeless man and his pregnant wife who were living in a small park in Cadiz, Spain. They had almost nothing, but they insisted on sharing their last stale sandwich with me while telling me crazy stories about their lives. It was a really deep experience for me. Something changed in me that night and I'll always remember it fondly.
Teach, Learn, Share
Spanish speakers! I'm learning spanish so I need to practice as much as i can. And of course I always love meeting other people who are into music like I am, even if that means only listening to it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of laughs, I can teach a little bit of guitar/ukulele, deep conversations about life, and of course travel stories! Also, I can show you around Richmond. I'm new here but I learn something new about it every day.
