ABOUT ME

I am 21 years old and studying abroad in Granada, Spain for the semester! Every single experience here has been unbelievable! Although challenging at times, these have been some of the best few months of my life... the culture of Spain (particularly Granada) is so different from my "comfort" of Chicago/ the United States and I still feel so lucky to be here, everyday! The people of Granada are incredibly warm and selfless and it constantly reminds me to be a better person...the gorgeous sights and terrain of Granada are beyond beautiful, and just being here--exploring, studying the language, interacting with my new host family and friends has made this experience even more life changing!

There is still so much within Spain and Europe that I have left to discover! I think that traveling and interacting with new people and cultures is one of the most spectaular experiences.

I feel very fortunate to have such amazing friends and family in my life and believe that who you surround yourself with says a lot about a person.

I am fascinated by psychology and the mental health field. I think that our brains, emotions, and interactions are so complex and captivating. I also think that our mental health, in general, is not taken seriously enough in society and I hope to become a therapist/psychologist and help those that are suffering the most. I want to use my education to help as many people heal/ recover, etc...as I can.

I love meeting new people and spending time with my family and friends. I also am very active-- exercise and outdoor activity are two of my favorite hobbies! I played a lot of sports (tennis, soccer, field hockey) in highschool and really enjoy athletics.

There is so much that I have left to experience while I am abroad in Spain (and places to travel to!!)--- I also feel very fortunate to have met such amazing friends & people here! I want to experience as much as I can while I am here with them.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that you should always do what you love and be surrounded by those that make you happy! Time is too precious.
