Overview
About Me
Originally, Lev used this Couchsurfing profile while traveling alone. Now, I'll be traveling with my girlfriend Genevieve, so you can learn more about both of us below.
Lev grew up in classic New Jersey suburbia while Genevieve hails from outside of Boston, Massachusetts. We met in college and then spent seven weeks traveling together through South America, where we volunteered on a butchering farm, did the epic Santa Cruz Trek, and attended a good friend's wedding (wearing clothes that we bought at a thrift store in Colombia).
We then lived and worked for two and a half years in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We will soon be moving to Philadelphia, where Lev will be starting medical school and Genevieve will be starting a new job and new adventures. We are spending this summer traveling in the western US and then through Europe, and are excited for lots of time outdoors and seeing new places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to travel. It allows travelers to meet people living life in the places they're visiting and to hear from them what it is that makes their home town/city special. Lev has Couchsurfed extensively in Europe, and we're both looking forward to Couchsurfing as a duo!
Interests
We love breakfast, crosswords, board games, backpacking, and dogs.
Music, Movies, and Books
A few of Lev's recent good reads: When Breath Becomes Air, the My Stuggle series by Karl Ove Knausgård, and Time's Arrow by Martin Amis. Genevieve's recent favorites: A Quiet Place (post apocolyptic movie), Marcella (British crime show), Jane the Virgin (fun telenovela-like series), and Theft by Finding (a collection of David Sedaris's diary entries). Our most recent concert: Dispatch at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lev has explored the same underground tunnels on his college campus that his friend's dad explored fifty years earlier. Genevieve has collected license plates from (almost) all 50 American states.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach you how to open a beer bottle with a lighter, how to build a fire, and how to whistle with an acorn.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We'd love to cook with (or for) you, chat with you, and explore with you! We hope to get to know our hosts better and to spend time with them.
