About Me
Freethinking yes-saying art-loving sushi-eating beer-drinking location independent carioca.
Not in Brazil right now!
You can call me Gabi :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best part of my trips have always been with Couchsurfers -- the stories we share sitting at home with a glass of wine, the parties we go to and make instant new friends, the walks around the city where I can see it through their eyes. I've been met with nothing but kindness and I'm deeply grateful for this amazing community ❤

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I crawled out of my mother's womb, I started getting amazed by pretty much anything.
Highlights would be:
// watching the sunrise from a balloon ride in Luxor;
// laying down at Salar de Uyuni staring at its infinite sky;
// paragliding over the turquoise waters of a Turkish beach;
// skydiving in São Paulo;
// playing with kids in the floating islands of Uros;
// dancing with strangers in the streets of Tokyo on NYE;
// scuba diving in Zanzibar;
// having a picnic on some ruins overlooking Sarajevo;
// making friends in a tomb cave in Iran;
// crossing the border between Kenya and Tanzania on a kayak (and then rowing back cause I'm not that rad)
...I could go on forever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will love to hear every story you have to tell me. Let's share travel memories, talk about dear family members, weird friends or urgent world matters. I'm also a fan of random cultural knowledge. Hit me with some trivial facts, it'll make my day!
Can teach you how to:
- practice some drawing techniques (I'm not the most technical actually, but it's something I love doing)
- play the ukulele (as well as I do, so not very well)
- dance terrible samba (it's like twerking with your feet)
- cook a mean Brazilian brigadeiro (if we can find condensed milk)
- recite 28 different curse words in Portuguese (caralho: /kaˈɾaʎu/)
Would LOVE to learn more about farming, gardening, woodworking, construction, basically anything hands-on. Or any other cool skill that you might have, really haha
