CURRENT MISSION

i don't really have a mission, but i have a lot of things i enjoy doing and am doing, from making music with my band, shooting short films with my house-mates. I guess my mission is just to have a good time and see where it leads me :)

ABOUT ME

I do hate describing myself, feels very odd to me but here we go :)
I am 21 years old, and am currently a gap year student in the University of Manchester. I took a year out to spend time on the things i really enjoy and want to do with my life such as music and film (a nice break from the horrible business course i have been doing) and have recently taken up spanish as i've always wanted to learn another language :)

I also love travelling and plan to do a great amount of it once i complete my university degree. I am a very friendly person and am happy to help with anything. If i am couch surfing and you want help developing your english. playing guitar, ANYTHING i'm 1000% happy to help!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I assume this means in couch surfing! sooo, although this account is new, 2 of my housemates have couch surfing accounts and we've had plenty of couch surfers in our house. We live in a 7 bedroom house in Manchester and have had spanish, australian, ITALIAN, french, germans and americans staying during the two years we have stayed in the house!

A dear italian friend of ours who lived with us for a year, introduced us to couch surfing as she had used it often during her travels. So she introduced us to the it and we think its an amazing idea and have used it continuously even during our busiest of times :). its a great thing to be able to house people for free as it makes travelling a lot more accessible/less costly to everyone and you get to meet some great, amazing people you'd never usually meet!

My housemates and i also recently made a video for someone who wrote on the couch surfing website kindly requesting videos made from all around the world saying 'congratulations on your anniversary' as a present for his girlfriend on their anniversary. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of my best memories are probablyyy.. number 1: an italian chap we now call flavio! who stayed with us for a month, and he became a great friend of mine during his stay (mostly due to our mutual love of Jimi Hendrix:) We had some amazing nights out in jazz bars and at parties, and it was really sad to see him go as it started to feel like he was one of the housemates and an awesome friend! Love to you flavviiooo you lovely italian!

secondly, i loved our german friends who stayed for a week. We went out into the meadows and made fires, we went to an amazing funk night which they enjoyed immensely, and we had some great talks about our travelling memories! there are many more good times but i would be here all day so i am going to stop!

it's hard because we all have so many amazing memories but what stands out:
one of my favourite memories is a radiohead gig i saw in bologna, Italy! A beautiful starry night, and an incredible performance from one of my favourite bands!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I have played guitar for 2 years! and so would be happy to teach what i know to anyone who's interested in learning! I also have (although i hate it) experience in marketing having been involved in 2 years of study and various little jobs here and there. so if you need help coming up with some ideas for a little business you're running i am happy to contribute :)

I am also a film maker! and usually take a camera everywhere i go so i can film anything you want filming i guess :)

Also i guess we can just learn through conversation! we've all had different experiences in our lives so it would be nice to share and learn :)
