About Me
Hi :)
I'm Lewis, an Englishman with a love for travel (6 continents in the last 2 years!).
As my family and friends will testament, I'm super easy to get along with, am really laid back and up for pretty much anything!
I've got my fair share of interesting stories and travel tales and would love to hear yours too.
Look forward to meeting you! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently new to the couch surfing experience but it sounds epic so am keen to get a few hosts and see for myself what it's all about. Whenever I'm back in the UK I'd be happy to host (at my parents discretion - they're lovely too!).
I've met so many people and made some fantastic friends along my travels thus far and so am keen to enhance this using couch surfing :)
Interests
I play soccer casually with friends, play a bit of badminton and ping pong, plus anything else casually down the park - love chucking a frisbee around!
I also like my food, to cook myself or eat out at restaurants.
I love nature! Not a great scientific interest but just like to experience nature at its beautiful best, be that a starry night sky, seeing animals in their natural habitat (most certainly not zoos) or going for a hike in a local national park. For example, I recently visited the Grand Canyon, and although it was overrun by tourists and pollution from human activity, it was still a magnificent sight to behold.
I like listening to music at almost any time of day - see below.
Family and friends are very important to me, but so is meeting new people, broadening my horizons, expanding my knowledge and experiencing new places/cultures/activities.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: honestly like everything apart from Skreamo, hardcore rap and classical! I like different genres for different times of the day/different activities but always have a playlist ready! Favorite artists: Foo Fighters; Muse; Green Day; Jungle; Disclosure; Clean Bandit; Jay-Z; Years & Years; Ben Howard; Ed Sheeran plus loads more I can't think of off the top of my head.
Movies: well, I do enjoy watching movies but I'm absolutely appalling at remembering the names of ones I've watched! Don't know why but it's super annoying when people ask what I've seen and I'm like, well, not sure... :( Among my favorites (that I can remember!) are: Wolf of Wall Street; The Fast and Furious collection; Harry Potter (but not as good as the books); Lord of the Rings and, call me soppy but Love Actually was actually a decent film!
Books: a decent crime thriller - Lee Child, Harlen Coben, am yet to read James Patterson but have heard good things? Harry Potter when I was younger - still re-read them occasionally now :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done a few, the best would probably have to be conquering Mount Kilimanjaro a few years ago in aid of charity! The feat was hard enough as it is, but at the time it was especially challenging for myself - ask why when we meet!
