Overview
About Me
Hi there. My name is Lewis and I'm from the UK. Right now I'm a digital nomad who does digital media management and also studies International Relations with the University of Cambridge but thankfully this academic year is all online for me so I'm hoping to take full advantage of my freedom to travel as long as I have somewhat of an internet connection! I am also a member of a UK based charity called "Teenage Helpline UK" which aims to support young people all over the UK through whatever issues they're currently facing.
I'll talk about anything and everything. From politics to books and philosophy you name it. I love debates and deep discussions from time to time but I'm always up for exploration and/or a beer too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the chance to stay with and meet new people wherever I go. I also love learning new things about local cultures and feel like you can't get anything better than being with people who live in the area you're staying in. I'd also love to give back in any way I can to the people I'm lucky enough to come across.
While travelling to see new things and experiencing lovely weather is nice, for me travelling is about the people I meet. I love seeing attractions etc but all my favourite travel experiences were made with people i'd never previously met. To me that's what my version of travelling is. Meeting interesting strangers and sharing experiences and good times together.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite band is by far The Doors, I love Jim Morrison but I also have a major soft spot for the Smiths and the Cure but my music taste is incredibly varied and I love listening to new music so please share with me if you would like to.
My two favourite movies definitely have to be Good Will Hunting and Catch Me if You Can, I could talk about cinema all day and I'm always looking to watch new and interesting things.
The best book I ever read is called "Ordinary Men" by "Christopher Browning". I'm a huge fan of non-fiction in general.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Booked a one-way ticket and a visa to New Zealand right after I turned eighteen and ended up managing a hostel there during the peak of Coronavirus.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to answer every question you have about the British ranging from our stereotypes to our football. Besides that I'm always up for some good conversation and helping around your house whether its with cooking or cleaning. You're graciously taking me into your place its only fair I try and give back. Other than that I hope we can have good times together whether its looking around, talking or sharing a drink.
I also love asking questions about everything so please be prepared for me to want to know a lot about you or learn about new things.
