About Me
Hey friends! I'm an easy going guy from Queensland, Australia. I believe life is about experiencing as much as possible. Travelling has to be the greatest way to do that!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been travelling with my sister for the last 6 months (flying solo now) and have stayed with some amazing hosts through her Couchsurfing account. Some of the best experiences I've had while travelling have been shared with hosts. I've experienced some truly memorable places that I would never have discovered otherwise. I can't wait to get home in December and return the favour by hosting travellers myself!

Music, Movies, and Books
It would take a long time for me to try to list everything! I love a very wide range of music and movies and I'm always keen to experience a new genre!
As an example, some of my favourite bands are Kavinsky, Tame Impala, Pink Floyd, Creedence and Cat Stevens.
Some movies I like are Interstellar, Dallas Buyers Club, Foxcatcher, The Imitation Game, John Wick and Legend.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I will always remember hiking on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. It was my first week of proper travelling and needless to say I didn't really know what I was doing! Off I walked, with my 27kg backpack (lighter now!), not really knowing where exactly I was going. After becoming unsure of my position quite quickly (i.e. lost), an awesome guy called Nihal stopped and helped me get to the start of the trail. We passed a temple and a shrine on the way where he prayed and we lit some incense sticks. We parted ways and I started walking... and walking... and walking! I had no idea the trail was that long! At the point of physical exhaustion, I finally arrived at my destination, Ngong Ping. I decided to take a short cut close to the village, ended up in the grounds of a monastery, and was swiftly encircled by a pack of the monastery's dogs, who were not happy to see me! After convincing them I was an ok guy, I left and explored the beautiful village.
I took a well earned bus ride back to the mainland and reflected on what was an incredible day. It's experiences like that which, in my opinion, define travelling and perhaps life in general!
