I'm about to turn 30 soon and going through lots of big changes in life including career and love and relationships which I love to connect with others about. I'm finally seeing Japan for the first time after coming to visit one of my closest friends in Tokyo.

My favourite thing to do when I get somewhere new is just to walk and explore and see what I see because there's always something interesting. Would love to meet others to do this with, find something interesting to eat, try out a new activity or practice conversation skills.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got recommended it by a fellow traveller after mentioning that I'd love to meet more local people and get away from the typical tourist trail. He has hosted over 50 people and now has friends all over the world. I want to meet people and have experiences that go beyond the superficial travel experience.

Interests

Right now I'm really loving trying all sorts of new activities while travelling and getting back into some like diving, hiking and exploring caves. I also love to cook back at home and really enjoy sharing cooking and food experiences with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fiend for all things science fiction and fantasy. Recently I've been reading Harry potter in Spanish to practice and I am so excited for the last season of game of thrones.

I love all sorts of music, particularly Australian indie, rock and pop and I'm always going to see live music when possible. Some of my favourite artists are Orville Peck, the xx, Florence and the Machine, the Preatures, Gang of Youths, Lady Gaga, Lorde, Alt-J, First Aid Kit and Chvrches.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This trip, I watched Volcan Fuego erupting while camping on Acatenango in Guatemala. The sounds of the explosions and vividness of the lava was incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I find languages and how people learn languages fascinating. Definitely would love to share both English and Spanish with anyone. Language exchange is awesome.
Plus I love learning to cook which has been a growing hobby for the last year. Can definitely teach an Aussie recipe or two!

I love to help out of I can, especially if it's with cooking! They say mi casa es tu casa and that goes both ways.
Can teach more about Australia, share life experiences, have a deep and meaningful conversation about the mysteries of the universe or just chat and exchange languages. I'm pretty good at English by now ;)
