About Me

I’m 26 years old and from a small fishing town in the North East of Scotland, which is where I grew up my entire life. In 2017, I decided to do an exchange in Berlin for a year and have lived there on and off ever since.

I’m an easygoing and laidback guy and at my best when surrounded by people to bounce off of. After leaving home, I realised how much I value and love my independence and also having alone time to travel, reflect and meet new people wherever I am.

I’m energetic and the kind of person who is always looking for the next thing to do, in a lot of aspects of my life. I can’t sit still for too long really - but I like the best of both. Going to a bar or club and partying but equally chilling with friends and having food at my place too is just as good. I like having in depth conversations and hearing people’s outlooks on a lot various things in life and about issues happening in the world. Mostly, I just want to have fun with the people I meet and feel totally comfortable around them. I love making people laugh :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet interesting people from different backgrounds and all over the world and have unexpected connections with strangers. The best way to know a place is from a local!

I also want people to make me see things in an alternative way and for my opinions and views to be challenged and changed.

Music, Movies, and Books

Always listening to music the most out of anything I do - R&B, Pop, Indie and House are my favourite genres.

In terms of books, I’m mostly into contemporary novels that explore relationships between people and social issues, and also queer stories. My favourite books are A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara and Swimming in the Dark by Tomasz Jedrowski.
