ABOUT ME

I'm an out-going guy from the West of Ireland. I love meeting new people and delving into other cultures and ways of thinking. I'm a musician by trade, which has allowed me to travel far and often. I currently live in Berlin, but am constantly playing across Germany, Denmark, and Sweden on the streets and in many different venues.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was able to spend one summer hosting people almost every week in Galway, but due to living under other circumstances I could no longer host, so things changed to just hanging out with anyone passing through my neck of the woods.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had 99% amazing experiences so far! I surfed for 3 weeks in Toronto in 2011, and went back and visited some of my hosts 6 months later. Since then, I began hosting for a while and I met some weird and wonderful people, some of whom I managed to stay in touch with, and two of whom I managed to meet up with again in France. I have really enjoyed playing music with or going out on the town with past couchsurfers and hosts, but I also like having dinner and sitting around chatting because if you are only staying with someone for a day or two, you generally hear their best stories which is what I love.

I could spend all day on this section. My favourite musicians are Warren Zevon, Josh Ritter, and Clutch. Generally speaking, I'm a nerd when it comes to movies and books, but anything goes with me.

Went to small towns in Rajasthan that weren't even on maps. Getting lost was never so much fun before.

I'm not sure what to put here, but I used to teach ukulele and guitar, so I can give lessons to anyone interested. I can also teach how to dance a Charleston in a matter of minutes. And if anyone needs someone for a trivia quiz - I'm your man!
