Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am most interested in meeting new people and experiencing their world for a while. Everyone has their own funky ways of enjoying life and I love having my eyes opened to new possibilities. There are so many good friends out there I have yet to meet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been offered many cushiony surfaces to sleep on in my travels. I have provided squishy sleeping modules for plenty of weary travelers through happenstance, though I've only hosted a few via couchsurfing.

I enjoy simple things. nature, food, farms, photos, fermentation, fungi, playing and listening to music, tea, bikes, futbol, conversation, walkabouts, pondering the days away...

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: David Abram is on to some good things. Reading LOTR out loud in funny voices.
Movies: Genghis Blues, Inside Llewyn Davis, Ace Ventura, Into the Inferno
Music: Railroad Earth, Mandolin Orange, Clancy Brothers, Bill Monroe, Royksopp, Bonobo, Charles Mingus, Sun Ra. Live music of all shapes and sizes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

40-hour standing-only train ticket from Beijing to Chengdu during Spring Festival. shoulder to shoulder all the way. Another 20 hours to Kunming, then a bus to Dali, then to Qiaotou. Those fatty Himalayan peaks made it all worth it.

Magpies and ravens are both corvids. They are tricksters and their words are not to be trusted in the forest.

For your kindness in hosting me I can sing you songs, cook you delicious meals, give you gardening tips, fix your bikes, tell you tales from my travels and offer suggestions on where you should go on your next adventure.
