Overview
About Me
Myself Lewis and my Girlfriend Karla are both 28yrs.
We are currently doing a world trip so far on this big trip we have been to some amazing places. South America (Brazil, Columbia, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador), Australia including Tasmania, we bought a van while we were over there and drove all the way around the country in just under two years.... a lot of km's! New Zealand, Tonga and Japan. It has been AMAZING!
We've heard loads of times that people have worried about having us because either couples argue or they feel like a third wheel..... so far this hasn't been the case for us. We have been together for 8 years, We're both very talkative and independent. We definitely aren't a mushy gushy kind of couple lol so you dont need to worry about that! In Australia we rented in two separate houses, one in Adelaide for 4 months and the other Gold Coast for 6 months. We made little amazing close nit families, spending our weekends together out kayaking, fishing, trecking or out in the pub haha!
We both love animals of all kinds and I really do! We have even been on excursions for bird watching! Haha its not just for the older person you know! We miss our family dogs at home very much so we tend to spoil peoples dogs with maybe too many cuddles lol.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are on Couchsurfing to meet the people who live their lives in the places that we visit. The Amazon was an amazing eye opener for us and we really enjoyed living with the locals right out in the middle of no where and how they gathered food for their families and what they did for fun and entertainment. It doesn't matter where you are in the world everyone has a different way of life, whether it be to do with money, where they live, what kind of family they have and the troubles in life they have to deal with like carrying shopping home once every month with a donkey through mountain passes. We want to see the real life's of people who live in these country's and find out why they love them. So in short.... We are hear to meet the real people not the tourists.
Interests
So myself Lewis, I love Rugby! Union that is. Growing up in a rugby nut house has turned me into one too! Watching at home or up the pub for an awesome atmosphere with friends is definitely the way I like to spend my time. Travelling has made it a little harder to catch the games, some times I sit up at 2/3 am to try and watch them. Now that's dedication! Guitar is the bane in my life! I love it but man its hard, iv had a few lessons while we were in Gold Coast Australia as we had a few months of living there but as we travel its too hard to carry bags, my girlfriend sometimes and a guitar lol. Music of course! Who could live with out it. Don't really have a type of music I love but I'm definitely not into that rave stuff, now call me old fashioned but that's just not music. Computer games (even though he's rubbish) and drinking Beer! Mostly light coloured, but definitely not a massive party person. More a pub and live music kinda guy :D
Karla has just found a new passion for photography, all animals (maybe not creepy crawly's), sports except golf or soccer.. sorry, Oh yeah and eating haha! I Just love horses.... nothing else in life..... just horses. Haha, it's not quite that bad but if you are mid conversation you will just have to wait until the horse passes by then you can continue. I used to ride when I was younger and have always dreamed of owning my own but for now I will just ride other people's :)
In Australia I got well into Muay Thai! Absolutely love kicking arse! Did it for about 6 months and will be carrying it on when I get home, awesome fitness, great people and really enjoyed the technical side and technique of the sport. Very challenging!

Music, Movies, and Books
Lewis: Ace Venturer, Terminators.... basically anything with Arnie, Jim or Sandler and I like it! I am all over the Avenger movies!!! Sounds geeky but always front of the line. Books I really enjoy thriller, Murder Mysteries. Cant really get into anything else. That gives you an idea of me lol.
Karla: Reading I enjoy, haven't really found a genre yet so its pretty handy when it comes to free book swapping! Read a few books that are based on life stories, Dark Hearts of Chicago, War Horse, The Lovely Bones and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. The movies I enjoy are pretty much typical for chicks lol. Romantic movies, Disney and Avenger movies because of Hawkeye haha!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lewis: Be with Karla for 8 years. Haha now that's and achievement.
Karla: The most Amazing thing I have done is TRY to climb a mountain in Ecuador. Cotopaxi - 5,897m with an ice cap. It was the hardest thing I have ever put my body and mind through, every step up with half a slip back down. Mentally I have never challenged myself in this way before. Couldn't achieve it but can honestly say I could not have tried harder. Pushed myself to complete exhaustion.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm learning guitar but you could learn with me! If your interested in Air conditioning I can teach you lol!
If you have boxing gloves and pads/punch bag I could teach you a little Muay Thai! Its pretty fun!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
High five and a beer..... oh and beer pong!
We are both pretty active and handy people, we are happy to help you out with a few things around the house. Lewis has done carpentry in Australia for a few months so very handy and Karla isn't a wimpy girl and can get stuck in too.
We can share good conversation and life stories! Plus Karla can try and cook for you haha!
