About Me
ABOUT ME
I am half British and half German, grew up in Munich Germany and am currently studying Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh. I guess I am a rather quiet person but I am always looking for an interesting conversation, learning new things and enjoy to get to know new views on things I already know. I haven't got one real passion, or at least I haven't found it yet. I try to discover a lot of new things. E.g. I enjoy music, sport, science, history, literature, food and traveling, but obviously it's then hard to focus on one of them. My biggest passions are mathematics and football refereeing.
CURRENT MISSION
Traveling around Georgia and Azerbaijan
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I'm always keen on meeting amazing people with amazing stories and I think the best way to get to know a place and to learn about its culture is to meet the people there! :)
Interests
Apart form traveling, I am really into soccer (and also sport in general) and music. I'm a big Man Utd fan and after giving up playing (lack of talent), I started refereeing an now officiate games at higher German amateur levels. I am also interested in History, Philosophy and Maths.
And I've really got an interest for exotic food, so if you're my host and you've got some very special dish in your region, please tell what it is and where to get it (especially if it sounds absolutly revolting and disgusting to most other people)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Heavily centred around The National
Movies: I especially admire the movies by Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino and Sergio Leone, but also many more
Books: As books that somehow inspired me, I would list "Crime and Punishment" by Dostojevski, "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett and "The Trial" by Franz Kafka
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding offroad on a motorbike through Turkmen desert in the middle of the night to see the Darvaza Gas Craters, aka "The Gate to Hell"
Teach, Learn, Share
I can try to teach you some German (e.g. how to order a beer, very useful if you want to go to Oktoberfest one day ;))
And I can show you how to open a bottle of beer with chopsticks and some other useless stuff
Please tell me something about your local food! Otherwise, I am always interested in learning new things, so if you've got some passion that's compleatly new to me, please introduce me!
