Hello!

My name is Lex and I am a 23 year old Law student from Melbourne where I was born and raised. My family is Italian and my Dad's name is Guido but fortunately neither him nor I have any resemblance to anyone from the TV show Jersey Shore. I am currently working for Commonwealth Bank in Australia in customer service.

My game plan over the last 5 years has been to just study and work as much as I can and travel as much as possible. I took a year off my first year out of school and travelled Europe for 6 months and since then have been to Thailand and Vietnam twice, Laos, New Zealand, China, Macau, Hong Kong, Japan and Indonesia all pretty much on separate trips. I love getting involved in local culture, food and language and just am trying to soak up as much of the world as I can before I get a real job and become boring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am very new to Couchsurfing, and have travelled a lot of the world staying in hostels, hotels, apartments, in parks watching the stars and in cars. I am always up for new experiences and meeting new people no matter who they are or where they come from. I am a very carefree easy going person and want to meet more like minded travelers and a friend told me this is the place to come to meet interesting characters who hopefully don't end up being axe murderers.

Interests

ANIMALS ANIMALS ANIMALS. I love everything and anyone animal related whether you are an animal at going out on the town or own pets. I have a German Shepherd named Alfie at home and love him more than life, he's really good for a conversation and doesn't talk back to me when I have drunk chats with him.

I love snowboarding and usually like to do at least 1 trip every year to the snow. I am currently in Vancouver and am heading to Whistler for 4 weeks to soak up the good life.

I also love food, good wine and movies. I am studying Film Studies as my Arts major so love to talk about new and old films and even the occasional television show here and there.

- Hiking 12km of the Great Wall of China, what you need; good shoes and a lot of time

I love to learn languages and can also teach a decent level of English and Italian if you are interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook and clean quite decently, both Italian and contemporary food and also can play a mean air guitar if I am fed a sufficient amount of alcohol, I can share stories of travel, and love to make people laugh
