About Me

Hey there! My name is Alexandra, but you can call me Lexa. I'm half mexican, half american and I've been living in Paris for almost 10 years now. I'm a language lover and a dancer, and I love meeting new people. Looking forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the kind of people one meets on Couchsurfing. People are open-minded and friendly, and always ready to share their experiences. I love listening to their life stories and getting to know their culture, and of course sharing some cultural notes of my own! I've made very good friends through Couchsurfing in the past and know the best is yet to come!

Interests

I love languages, learning about other cultures and getting to know more about local ways of life. I also enjoy dancing and have danced for many years. My strong suit is mostly Latin dancing (salsa, bachata), but I've experimented with lots of couple dances over the years (tango, ballet, rock, west coast swing, lindy hop ...). I'm also interested in music and recently decided to sign myself up for singing lessons (God have mercy on my neighbours). Would be great to learn how to play an instrument someday.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm open to all kinds of genres and love discovering new tunes. I love jazz, but I also listen to a lot of pop music and latino beats, as well as rock music. definitely not a heavy-metal, scream-your-heart-out kind of gal.
Movie-wise, I loved Inglorious Basterds. Especially Christopher Waltz and his amazing language skills. Great film.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would be happy to teach you how to cook a mexican dish, teach you a salsa step or two, give you tips on language learning...
