I'm both a nerdy academic and an adventurer. I love good company and expeditions to new and vibrant places. Most of all I love people. They’re eternally fascinating and frustrating and inscrutable and surprising.

This is my first real foray into the whole Couchsurfing thing. I'm hoping to meet new people all over the world.

I ride bikes for transportation and fun. I love to travel and see new places but when I'm at home, I get domestic with homebrewing, gardening and rescuing and reworking dumpsterdived furniture and making jewelry.
