I'm doing my phd in politics in London. I've lived here for five years now (apart from a one year stint in Seoul) and its by far my favourite city in the world.

My life revolves mainly around reading, gigs and (pseudo-)intelectual conversations.

I listen to everything from Sigur Ros to Slayer. Current primary music obsessions: Tom Waits, Mark Lanegan, Die Goldenen Zitronen.

When it comes to literature Brecht and Max Frisch are my favourites. Spivak's Critique of Postcolonial Reason is one of the best books ever written

I tend to either watch movies that are either art-house or trash, not much in between. During term time its mainly trash.

Trip to Lisbon and Barcelona to see Rage Against the Machine and Tom Waits in the space of a week.

Travelling to Vietnam, Cambodia and Japan while I had the benefit of living in East Asia.
