About Me
Hi y'all,
My name is Lexi and I am a currently a student at UT here in Texas. I'm studying International Relations and History, so I can provide a lot of interesting conversations about those topics. In general I am fairly laid back and easy to get along with, though I can be quite sarcastic at times. I love getting to meet new people, and hopefully I will be able to make some new friends throughout my travels!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm interested in meeting and learning from new people as I travel abroad this upcoming summer. I'm hoping to find people with similar interests who would be interested in going out and exploring! (:
Interests
I love to hike and be in the outdoors as much as possible. I also enjoy visiting museums or historical sites (I'm a big history nerd), and going to various concerts with friends. I absolutely love to read (my kindle is my best friend), and enjoy wandering around looking for a good cup of coffee or tea.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Honestly I have too many favorite books to count, but some of longtime favorites include The Hours, Brideshead Revisited, Master and Margarita, The Merusault Investigation, and more. I could probably spend days talking about books!
Movies: Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars, Battle of Algiers, Day of the Jackal (1973 version), The Holiday
Music: I love pretty much all genres, and what I listen to depends on my mood. Some of my favorite artists include Christine and the Queens, Iron & Wine, The Civil Wars, Hozier, Kamasi Washington, Joey Alexander, etc.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am more than happy to help out those who want to improve their English, which is my native language. I can also tell you more about the things I am studying (International Relations and History) or about life here in the US. Since I am studying French and Arabic, I would love to continue practicing those languages as well. I also have my fair share of stories from my job as a nanny, like the time the kids and I managed to make a blender explode.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am more than happy to help out with whatever is needed be it cleaning, cooking, etc. Just be warned that I am not the best cook in the world!
