About Me

ABOUT ME

Currently living in sunny Hobart in a house of beautiful sunrises, plants, and architectural pleasantries. In my play-time, I like to label spice jars, re-arrange objects, cut cardboard, make decadent dinner parties, and have qualitative conversations.
But mostly I just sit in a halfway place somewhere closer to work-time, where I am a waitress/bar person, and an enthusiastic student. When not doing paid work, I like to read things, usually lots of things at once, which are usually in some way relevant to life and explaining it.

I also hope to one day live in a chateau in halcyon years where Spring and Autumn are the only seasons, spending my days entertaining, cooking*, drinking fine liquor with the beautiful people, and re-imaging interiors. I would also like to be matriarch of a crime family.

*I'm also a vegetarian, incidentally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have received a lot, when lost and desultory, and would now like to give. The house is not mine though, it's inhabited by a collection of (5-ish) rent-paying people, sometimes present, sometimes absent, and thus ability to host depends on everyone's levels of business and stress.

Interests

My interests range from dialogue, banana smoothies, plants, and living in an era bygone.

Other things I like:

salty brezels

assonance

aniseed flavoured liqueur

outside-inside spaces

gas stations

  • cooking
  • vegetarian
  • partying
  • drinking
  • business
  • beaches

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- House of Leaves.. I am currently reading "Hotel Lobbies and Lounges, the Architecture of Professional Hospitality". It's great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met the Dutch royal family on a beach in Costa Rica while I was eating burnt porridge out of a saucepan. They looked like a storybook Happy Holidaying Family in their casual yet still carefully coordinated bathing suits.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Cuba, Denmark, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nicaragua, Panama

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Netherlands
