Born and raised in Los Angeles. I've lived in New York, Paris, Amsterdam, and Béthune (a tiny town in the north of France), and now I'm in Amsterdam living with my Dutch boyfriend (Jules) and doing my M.A. in art history.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love couchsurfing because, for me, traveling is as much about meeting new people as it is about seeing new places. I've only had great experiences on Couchsurfing so far!

Interests

Things I love: tea, good wine that people's parents give me, cheap wine that I buy myself from the supermarket, cheese, folklore + mythology, IPAs, Christmas markets, the smell of firewood burning, midnight sun, summer rain, the mountains, old movies, talking to people who aren't boring (sometimes they're difficult to find), staying up all night.

Things I hate: loud music when I'm trying to sleep, coriander, waking up early, rude people, wind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: So many, I'm in love with reading! Stefan Zweig, William Faulkner, Virginia Woolf, and many, many more.

Movies: Ingmar Bergman is my favorite, and I also love screwball comedies from the 1930s and 40s, silent films, documentaries, ethnographic films... I studied film at university, so I could go on and on and on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was seven, I watched my baby brother being born. Pretty amazing.
