À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Home is where your heart is at!

ABOUT ME

After meeting me a lot of people tell me that I seemed kind of quiet at first. So I guess that's most likely the first impression you'll have of me as well. Fact is though I love to meet new people and am very open to any crazy experiences.

I like broccoli and cottage cheese. I guess some people think I am strange or weird. Maybe because of the broccoli and cottage cheese. I don't know. Some people think I am a nice girl, pretty laid-back and funny. Get to know me, then you'll find out by yourself:-D

I hate it when people call me cute. Although I do love kittens, wear skirts 90% of the time and gush at ridiculously tiny dogs walking by.... oh and i really REALLY like sweet potatoes.

Since last fall I am enrolled in a masters program at the University of Düsseldorf. I am still embracing every opportunity to leave the country cause there are still way too many places I haven't been to and crazy things I haven't done or tasted yet.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed with several people in NYC in 2009. What can I say... that stay exceeded all my expectations. I met so many great people that all shared the same love for adventure, trust and spontaneity that couchsurfing stands for. I gained some true friends and in various ways those weeks turned out to have a sustained impact on my life.

Centres d'intérêt

First of all I LOVE traveling and meeting people along the way. Beside that I like art, movies, books, listening to others and observing all that crazy stuff happening around me...

I have a soft spot for the slightly imperfect, things with a twist. Weird stuff. Scurrilities. Things that are...different.

Also, I love old things like vintage jewelry, old furniture and decoration stuff. Things that seem to bear a history of their own within them. Things with a certain soul.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like movies by Lars von Trier like "Dancer in the Dark" or "Dogville", Hayao Miyazakis Animés esspecially "Nausicäa" and "San to Chihiro no kamikakushi", also random stuff like "Garden State", "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain", "Breakfast at Tiffanys", "Lost in Translation", "Babel", "Kill Bill I" (II sucked though), "Little Miss Sunshine", "12 Monkeys", "I'm a cyborg but thats okay","Moulin Rouge", "Million Dollar Baby"... Plus, I am totally addicted to "Friends" and "Dr. House".

I like Haruki Murakamis books, especially the short storys.
One of the best books I've read recently was "Nachtzug nach Lissabon" by Pascal Mercier, and "Die Vermessung der Welt" by Daniel Kehlmann.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The last months of traveling have just been amazing! I walked on the Great Wall, ate snails, waded through cockroaches, hugged random strangers, rode a camel along the pyramids, drank Ethiopian coffee - in Ethiopia!, ate the biggest steak ever in Argentina, puked in the Red Sea, got an Ayurvedan full body oil massage in India, saw the cutest little kitty in the Puerto Rican rainforest, got lost in the streets of Nagoya, climbed up a Maya Temple in Mexico, rode through Kyoto on a blue bike, got hooked on dragonfruits in Guangzhou, learned how to say "Guangzhou" correctly, spend Christmas under the burning Arabian sun in a black Abaja, teared up on wasabi in Osaka, discovered that I still LOVE sushi even after eating it 3 times a day for 4 days straight, got caught in the rain in Porto, had red flowers painted on my fingernails in Hongkong and fell in love with and in the city that never sleeps ...

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can teach you how to bake the perfect cheesecake and how to fold an origami crane.
I'd like to learn anything that someone could teach me and maybe I`ll share my cheesecake ;-)
