About Me

My name is Alexi Keogh and I am just a young adult thrilled and anxious to get out into the world and experience new adventures and people everyday throughout my travels. I am currently located in Kirkland, Washington in the home I grew up in, working to save up enough money to start my backpacking travels in summer 2022. I have joined the Couchsurfing community to connect ahead of time with people from all around the world that I hope to someday come and visit/possibly stay with:). I have a very outgoing, friendly, and social personality and am always up for an adventure. Travelling opens ones heart, broadens ones mind, and fills life with stories to tell. The world is too big and beautiful not to get out and experience as much of it as you can. So here I am, planning on doing just that

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love making new connections and friends from all different part of the world. I think there is something so beautiful and wonderful about the diversity of people of all different parts of our world. Not only this, but during my travels I want to have the most raw and real experience in each place I go to. I want to be completely immersed in the culture style around me and I believe staying with hosts who are from that specific country, is the best way to do that!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I have done was volunteered at a summer camp for a few weeks to help out a Youth Migrant Program. I am very proud of myself for doing this because it pushed me out of my comfort zone a lot and I went into it the first day, not too excited, but came out knowing it was a life changing experience. During my time spent volunteering, we would help migrant workers pick crops in the field, setup a food bank, prepped meals for the homeless, and spent time with the migrants kids while they were at work. Never before did I realize how thankful i was to live the life i do, until I was in the fields for hours picking crops for what would've been very little pay. Although these migrants worked very long, hot, and hard hours, they still lived each day with their heart filled of joy and faces full of smiles. I am forever grateful I was apart of such a lifechanging experience
